Greensburg Business Incentives

The Greensburg Community Development Corporation, the City of Greensburg, and our development partners offer incentive programs to recruit new business and redevelop properties within downtown Greensburg. To be eligible, projects must fall within the boundaries defined for the program and meet specific criteria.

Facade Improvement Grant Program

Through state and local funding, the Greensburg Community Development Corporation has implemented the Façade Improvement Grant Program. This program provides matching grants to eligible commercial property commercial property owners and business owners for façade, storefront, and sign upgrades to support retail marketing, streetscape appearance, and building upgrade initatives. Approved projects may receive up to 50% of the total cost of façade renovations.

City of Greensburg Keystone Innovation Zone (KIZ)

The goal of the City of Greensburg Kesystone Innovation Zone (KIZ) is to foster innovation and to create entrepreneurial opportunities within the boundaries of Greensburg’s KIZ. This program provides tax credits to for-profit companies less than eight years old operating within specific targeted industries within specific targeted industries within the boundaries of a Keystone Innovation Zone (KIZ). With a total pool of up to $15 million in tax credits available to KIZ companies annually, the KIZ tax credit program significantly contributes to the ability of young KIZ companies to transition through the stages of growth.

Greensburg Revitalization Fund (G-Fund) Grant Program

This grant program provides financial assistance eligible property owners/ developers, with priority given to projects that result in significant community and economic development impacts. The G-Fund is designed to support a wide variety of commercial building enhancements and stabilization initiatives completed by private property owners.

Eligible improvements under this program must be investments that result in significant community and economic development impacts including, but not limited to:

  • Private investment leverage;
  • Property value increases;
  • Tax generation;
  • Job creation/retention;
  • Historic preservation;
  • Green building

The Greensburg Community Development Corporation secures funding for the G-Fund Grant Program through its current fiscal budget upon collection of payments from Local Economic Revitalization Tax Assistance program participants.
